Check AWD System warning light came on, is this serious & needs to be taken in?

When ever you get that kind of warning you should get it looked at as soon as possible. Since you just bought the car it should go back to the business that sold you the car. If all they do is sales they may not be equipped to check it over but should accept responsibility to get it fixed for you.
