What is your question?
I just bought a used 2005 Highlander in April. It was advertised with remote keyless entry, but when I went to look at the car, they didn't have the remotes. For some reason, instead of ordering replacement remotes from Toyota, they had an after-market system installed. After I picked the car up, the clock was incorrect, so I set it and took the car home. However, every time it's shut off and then re-started, the clock goes back to 1:00. Could this be related to the remote-keyless entry system that they installed, or is it just an unfortunate coincidence? To replace the clock costs $900 because it's part of the heater-a/c system. Thanks.

It sounds like the clock is loosing power when you turn the ignition off in your 2005 Toyota Highlander. Check the ECU-B fuse in the under hood fuse box. It should have power all the time and supplies back-up power to the A/C control panel and clock. From the fuse the circuit travels through the instrument panel to the A/C panel. It looks as if the white wire to the A/C panel is the back-up power that keeps the clock running while the ignition is off.
