blows hot air only==compressor replaced--dryer replaced -system flushed 3 times-expansion valve replaced-still blows mostly warm air and not cooling properly at required temperature --cold air lasted 5 minutes when tested after repairs completed then reverted back to luke warm air

Check out this answer: http://repairpal.com/profiles/dan-o. This is a common problem in 2002 Highlanders as noted below. This happened to me too. This comment is from a technician on this site "I WORK FOR A TOYOTA DEALERSHIP AND THE PROBLEM IS IN THE TEMP CONTROL SWITCH, THEY DO GO BAD, THE SWITCH COST AROUND $600.00 YOU HAVE TO BUY THE WHOLE CONTROL PANEL. CANT BUY JUST THE SWITCH". I had mine tightened repeatedly and eventually had to pony up the bill for a total replacement for about $700.
why did you replace the compressor in the first place? what was the diagnosis?
i i have the same problem and today i took my car for a diagnostic and the response was that the solar sensor need to be replace .i order the part today as soon i replace this part I will post if this fix the problem.
