I have an automatic Transmission Echo.I felt a soft downshift as if driving a standard then 30 seconds later the car cut off and I had no power to drive. All electrical worked. I waited 5 minutes then it started again and was able to drive.
Battery was changed out. I picked up the vehicle from the dealership stopped at a traffic light and the car cut off again!! Waited for 5 minutes, it started then I drove off again. WHAT is Wrong with my Echo

fuel pump, $187.50 + tax, approx price, if you replace fuel pump get the fuel filter $57.50 approx, and replace it also. Takes about 1.5 hours to do it yourself. should be 55psi - 65 psi, if you have some way to test it yourself. Sounds like you have less than 30psi, car will run but not well. Important to look in tank for dirt when changing pump, just use a flashlight. One bolt holding back seat in in the center at the back, take the plate off, carefull when taking wires of , do that first then take hoses off, avoid sparks, when you take the pump out the screen on the bottom is not the filter. it is only a screen for large foreign objects. good luck
