Yes. I took it to the auto supply store(it started that time) to have the battery, etc tested. they showed a weak battery. of course, they were happy to sell me a new one. it started 3 times on that trip. got it home, replaced the battery, and nothing. it has restarted once since then. I will try the starter idea. thank you.
don't know which parts house you went to,but Autozone's tester also test the starter.it could be a bad connection,ground dirty/corroded,or starter is going out.if you have a volt meter,make sure you are getting power to the starter every time you try and start it.yeah,the parts house did their job,they sold you a battery.that's what they do,sell parts!hope you find it.
