Do I need to change the entire tail light assembly for a broken tail light cover

Being quoted 870 dollars for a broken tail light cover which is insane. Can I just order the part and change it myself? Any videos? Can i just change the cover only since the lights aren’t broken or do I have to change the entire tail light assembly?
