What is your question?
I’ve always taken my car to Toyota dealership for all servicing etc And all of a sudden I need a new ac compressor. And they are charging me 1168 to replace it. I just feel this is a lot to pay considering my car is relatively new and shouldn’t have this problem yet. And I almost never use my ac (heater definitely) I tried explaining it and the mechanic said yes he agrees that it’s too soon to be replacing any parts in my car right now but it is broken and if I need ac I would have to replace the compressor. He claimed he already gave me a discount that it’s usually around 13-14 hundred for this kind of service. I had no choice and left the car to them (given a loaner car now) I just can’t help feeling like I’m being overcharged :( I did go to an outside mechanic who quoted me 1200 but I went to Toyota (I had told them I was quoted that amount then the mechanic gave me the 1168 quote)
What makes this problem better or worse?
Nothing
How long has your 2016 Toyota Corolla had this problem?
Unsure. I just turned in the ac and nothing

Hello, get with the service manager of your Toyota dealership and ask him/her to appeal to Toyota for goodwill assistance. If your mileage is not crazy high, you have a good case. Do this right away, because if they repair the vehicle with your authorization it's too late.
