What causes the check engine light and the Trac off light to come on? Whats wron

Get a code reader could be what happened to me check MAS ( mass airflow sensor) on the intake unplug it clean it. Also clean the air filter then turn on and off ignition not starting the car 3 times in a row should go off if that's the issue.
