Synthetic or genuine motor oil

genuine toyota motor oil is also made by aftermarket manufactures . I would use synthetic but make sure you use the correct viscosity that toyota reccomends. Roy

agree with roy. use 5W20 as the factory requires, then change with filter at 5,000 or 6,000 miles, even with synthetic. mobil 1 is a great oil but it is a "retail" product; most shops will use something else. sticking with the same oil over the car's life is also important.

dealers oil is quaker state, which i do not put in my mower(1994) use mobile 1 synthetic.
