how do i change the oil filter does it need a special wrench??

Yes - it seems to be required to get the cap off. It is a special 64mm X 14 oversize socket tool built to fit over the plastic oil filter cap. I got mine at PepBoys. Unscrews normally - Counter clockwise. Replacement filter cartridge comes with a new O-ring gasket that goes on the cap.
