There's a whining noise coming from my throttle body

Hello, are you certain the noise is coming from the throttle body area? Does the noise resonate through the air filter box and connective rubber tube to the throttle? Although hands on inspection is needed to be certain, it would seem that the throttle body itself has components that could be sticking slightly causing a harmonic resonation. Some other vehicles I would suggest the idle air control valve makes the noise, but I do not believe your Corolla has one of these. Instead, I believe the control is integrated in the throttle body itself. The buzzing movement of the mechanism can cause the noise. Have this inspected at a shop near you.
