What is your question?
My 09 Corolla is running hot, but doesn't overheat. Six months ago it was overheating, so I changed all the components that needed to be changed, the thermostat, cap, and sensor. Now it doesn't overheat, but goes just under the H after five-ten minutes of running. The fan is working. What would be another solution?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Maybe when AC is on.
How long has your 2009 Toyota Corolla had this problem?
3 months

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. When you changed the thermostat, did you ensure that any air pockets in the cooling system were fully purged? This is one area of concern that can make overheating on some level possible. Under what conditions does the overheating occur -- or high temperature, at that? You'll want to see if it's during highway driving, local driving or just sitting idling. This can help pin point the failure as to possible causes. Lots of guesses - from base engine cylinder head breaches to water pump circulation to erratic fan operation - even if it "works" - maybe not always? A lot more drilling down needed and some hands on testing needed to figure out what is going on. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
