What's wrong with my car?

I drove on the freeway about 12 miles each way stop and gi t feed affix. The highest speed I got up to was about 75mph. I stopped at a mini mart and sat in my car with it running for a little bit organizing myself. Turned the car off, everything seemed fine.i got back in about 20 min. Later and when i started my car it seemed to be sputtering and about to die. I was only about 1/2 mile from my hone so I decided to make it home. It sputtered and almost sounded like it could be my muffle...? Not seeing any leaks . But my a/c stopped working about a week ago. The check engine light is on and it flashing sometimw
