"Maint Required" light - How do you reset it

With the engine on set the trip meter to odometer (not trip a or trip B), now turn the engine off, press and hold down the trip meter reset button, keep it held down and turn the key to the run position (not start) and you will see dash lines across the trip display keep the button pressed until all the dashes disappear. If this doesn't work try the same procedure in Trip q or Trip B mode I think some were different.
