I need to know why I was only supposed to replace the fuel pump in my 2005 Toyota Corolla LE but the mechanic is cutting the wires to the fuse box and trying to replace it can you explain to me why he would do this thing

Hello, you'll really have to get a hold of the management of the shop you are working with to ask this question so you can understand better. From a technical point of view, not knowing. a single thing about what your concerns are with your Corolla in the first place -- I could not even begin to speculate. If you had some kind of concern with getting power to the fuel pump system, perhaps this leads to a fuse box issue? No idea. Good luck - check with the management of the shop.
