I checked plug to see if that's powered and one side of plug is getting power the other side not, which I'm assuming is the way it's supposed to be like a ground..so if power is getting there...and it's a new blower motor..?

Hello, Use a multimeter, unplug the blower motor leads, leave the resistor plugged in, and test that you are receiving power when the fan setting is in all positions. Yes, one side should get power, the other should not, and the side that does not must have a good ground. If the multimeter shows that the unit gets power when grounded to the chassis, but not when grounded to the ground wire on the connector, this would show a bad ground.
