A/c was working fine one moment and then a few minutes later it was blowing hot air. System has freon (actually goths sides read 120 on the gauges. Bypassed relay by running jumper wires directly from battery to compressor and confirmed power is getting to the compressor, but it still doesn't attempt to click on. Any ideas what the problem could be? Is the compressor coil shot?

I have the same car and had the same problem. The problem could be the compressor clutch relay switch. To test it, first check to see if the compressor clutch wheel (drive belt left side of engine) is turning when the AC is turned on. If clutch does not engage with AC on then locate the AC clutch relay switch in the fuse box(right side near battery) and swap it out with the horn relay switch to test. If the AC works with the horn relay switch then it is the relay which needs replacing. It costs about $30-$40.
