When I turn the key to start, sometimes it just clicks, sometimes it does nothing, sometimes it will turn over onc eor twice and sometimes it starts right up like a new one. checked all systems, battery, starter, cables, alternator and ran diagnostic on comp., no codes. could this be the key switch cylinder? Help!

If it sometimes just clicks (at the starter, right?) when you turn the key to START, and sometimes the starter operates normally, I'd say you have a failing starter. Be sure your battery cables are clean and tight, check for battery voltage at the starter (big cable), check for battery voltage at the START terninal on the starter (small wire) when you turn the key to START. If the voltages are OK, and the starter doesn't work, suspect the starter. I don't think it's the ignition switch or you wouldn't hear the click.
