WHEN STARTING MY CAR, I PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND SOMETIMES I JUST HEAR A CLICK. AFTER ABOUT 2 - 3 TRIES, THE CAR STARTS. ONCE THE CAR HAS STARTED, IT RUNS FINE. AND SOMETIMES THE CAR WILL START RIGHT UP. COULD THIS BE THE IGNITION SWITCH OR THE STARTER? WHEN STARTING THE CAR, ALL THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS, LIGHT UP.

This sounds like the classic Toyota starter issue. You turn the key and it clicks. Repeated tries goes click-click-click.... then it finally cranks (and starts). With any starting issue, it's a good idea to have the battery tested to be sure it's not a weak battery or the battery cables. The starter needs a good battery and good connections to crank properly. If the solenoid contacts have worn (usually pitted with corrosion), it will cause this "clicking" issue. hope this helps!
Andy is correct classic Nippon Denso starter issue. The two contacts and plunger are available to repair the starter solenoid, they are located behind the three 8mm headed bolts and cover.
