DOOR LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF

Does the interior light also stay on unless the dome light switch is placed in the off position? The door switch on either the drivers door jamb or passenger door jamb is broken supplying a constant ground. If you do not see a switch on the door jamb area many cars now build the "door ajar" switch into the locking mechanism inside the door panel.
