My car seems to misfire when i first pull off and when i go up hills it slows down as if i have no power. The check engine light has not come on. I have a stick shift.

I think of igniton problems. Check the ignition system for good spark. A miss under load is often spark plug wire or distributor cap & rotor problems. Check the resistance of the sparkplug wires, should be about 5k ohms per foot. Check that the ign wires are not shorting to the cylinder head. Don't get shocked.
