What is your question?
I am struggling to get both CV joint into the drivetrain. I start off by taking both shaft ( outer and inner) out and got the new part. It is not going in full, as I only have 1/2 left of gap to close up... so ?? why it is not going in? Do I need speical tool or ??

Did you match your old CV shafts to the new set as it was very common to have 2 or 3 different CV shafts available for the same year, make, model car because of auto trans, manual trans and different engines available for the same year vehicle. Where did you purchase these CV shafts.
Hemi is right measure the axle spline diameter and length, count the number of splines as well, the axle may have been mis-boxed. I work on a lot of Toyotas when you line up the axle and tap firmly on the nose the circlip compresses and enters the spider gear in the differential.
THANKS EVERYONE! Yep, turns out the old shaft had 23 teeth while the new one only had 20. We went back to the store and got another part ( with anti-lock design, even though my car dont have anti-lock) but it is all good now! It fits in! Jeez
Glad things have worked out. 30 years in the business can't tell you how many times parts people have tried to convince me they have given me the right part!
