Fuel pump won't prime

90corolla works great last 7mths after 8hrs takes long to turn over. Yet if lays 5days it starts. Will. Turn over, battery, dist. Cap wires, fuel filter an fuel pump new. Not sure if mech. Really put in fuel pump. Once veh starts it runs. Fine. No leaks. Or noises. Can't hear pump prime fhough

What makes this problem better or worse?

Every 8hrs or next day doesn't want to start
