Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! A stuck ignition can be a real headache. If the key won’t turn to ACC, you’ll have to take a few extra steps to remove the switch. First, disconnect the battery to avoid any surprises. For your Corolla, you’ll likely need to remove the steering column covers by unscrewing a few screws underneath. Once the covers are off, locate the ignition cylinder housing. Since you can't turn the key, you’ll need to press a release pin on the switch housing using a small tool or screwdriver to slide the cylinder out. Your repair manual should have the exact steps, or a locksmith might be able to help with this, too.
