There is no heater control valve listed in the parts listings that I have but there is a heater control unit listed. that is where I would focus my inspection of your issue.

Heater valve I believe is in the engine compartment center rear on the firewall operated by a cable two hoses attached to it approx 3/4 inch diameter.

There is no heater control valve listed in the parts listings that I have but there is a heater control unit listed. that is where I would focus my inspection of your issue.
