What is your question?
So whenever the vvti kicks in under hard acceleration I get the rattle I'm also getting bank 1 too lean code and my 02 sensors aren't reading accurately. I have replaced my timing chain, the tensioner the oil and water pump, all the gears and a new vvti gear and a new vvti sensor .
What makes this problem better or worse?
It's worse at high rps at low or stopped speeds under 40. Close to no noise over 40 and no idle noise
How long has your 2000 Toyota Celica had this problem?
Since engine swap a couple months

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble with your vehicle. If your Celica is experiencing a VVT-i rattle under hard acceleration and you're getting a "bank 1 too lean" code, it sounds like there might be a few things to check. The rattle could be related to oil pressure issues affecting the VVT-i system, especially since you've replaced many components. Ensure the oil level and oil type are correct, as VVT-i systems are sensitive to oil conditions. The lean code and inaccurate O2 sensor readings might indicate a vacuum leak, fuel delivery issue, or faulty sensors. Since the problem started after an engine swap, double-check all connections and ensure everything is properly installed. It might be helpful to have a professional perform a thorough diagnostic to pinpoint the exact cause.
