I would take your vehicle right back to who did the work. It is possible that an axle seal could get damaged upon removal and installation of the axle shaft, resulting in a fluid leak. As far as the pull, after having a ball joint installed, the wheel alignment should be checked to ensure proper angles. This would include a road test following the work to ensure all is working as designed, with no pulling. Last - why were the repairs performed? Was there physical impact or damage to the area? Other items could be in need of repair if pulling is present.
