how can I determine if my engine has "California Emissions"by looking at the eng

If the engine is original and not been replaced and the sticker under the hood says Ca. emissions then it is. Maybe the upper end of the engine has been fooled with but who knows. If it is like some of these years Japanese cars the whole engine was maybe replaced with a used engine at one time that is sold thru salvage yards that were purchased from overseas when the engines are removed at a certain mileage interval as per Japan vehicle laws. I would think the engine control computer would have a problem operating the different engine if that took place.
