intermittent problem motor bogs down or shuts off when driving check engine comes on then goes off and motor runs normal.this happens 2 or 3 times on a 20 mile trip one day and then not again for 3 or 5 days. Does it at different speeds

Do a tune up Change plugs, wires and cap and rotor
would that make engine light come on? all seems good running this just happens at weird times.
Mmmm. When the motor gets warm up try go for a test drive if it do bog down try focus on check engine light if it flash
