What is your question?
When pulling into my driveway, I noticed a plastic-sounding grinding/scraping sound coming from my steering wheel/column area. It is most noticeable at low speeds and at a standstill, and is louder when turning the wheel to the right.
How long has your 2021 Toyota Camry had this problem?

Hi - I am Dave, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. It could be that the plastic cladding of the steering wheel and column are rubbing against each other. It can also be the "sliding contact" or "clock spring" or "cable reel" - different names to describe the electrical component behind then steering wheel that provides electrical power to the air bag, horn and steering wheel switches while still being able to turn the steering wheel. There could be noise from this component Ultimately, it is best for a shop near you to have a look and give you advice on what you are experiencing. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link to find some shops near you who can help out!
