I'm in the market for a Toyota Camry and I'm just curious about where they are made. Does Toyota exclusively manufacture cars in Japan or do they also manufacture in the US?

Currently, Toyota Camrys sold in the U.S. are made Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky in Georgetown, Kentucky. The car is also built in Tsutsumi, Japan, but those models are typically not sold in U.S. dealerships.
I have a 1998 Camry and mine was Manufactured in Kentucky. open the drivers door, see the label in the door jamb, that's the 1st thing on my label is where it was Manufactured. Some are USA Built and some are Japan Built, some built in other Countries, but currently about 70 percent of Toyota's sold in the U.S. are built in North America. The most prominent plants are located in Asia, North America and Europe. Toyota cars are built at all of these locations.my vin starts with a 4,so it's USA built. If yours starts with a J,it is Japan built.
Wow, I didn't know that 70% of Toyota's on the road in the states are made in the USA. That is really cool!
Kentucky, I never knew! I thought it was only bourbon!
Thank you! It great to know they are made in the US (though being manufactured in Japan is great, too!). I've driven through Georgetown--really beautiful place.
NO! Not only Bourbon! I use to travel to Ohio every two weeks from Charlotte and would go into the Backwoods of Kentucky and pick up some very very good and very smooth Homemade "Clear" or whatever flavor you would like! I miss my trips there!
