What is your question?
I replaced the oil pressure sensor because of a leak. There is no dedicated low oil pressure trouble light. The general master trouble light is supposed to light and an oil error shows on the central dashboard screen. But how to test that the sensor is working correctly? Unplugging the sensor does not cause a fault.
What makes this problem better or worse?
No problem. How to confirm sending unit is operating normally

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Perhaps applying varying voltage to the circuit could cause the warning to happen. I think when the circuit goes "open", it does not necessary turn on a warning light. I would also say that if you replaced the part with a known good part and did it properly, there really is no reason to worry about it's functionality.
