What is your question?
I have a 2016 Toyota Camry. I have been having this problem for 3 years and so far unable to fix. On cold days, well below freezing, the car will start and run for approximately 3-5 seconds. It then shuts off, doesn't stall simply shuts off like turning the key. Then it will crank but will not restart. I started by changing the fuel pump, but this did nothing to fix the problem. I cleaned the throttle body and changed the plugs, still no change. I recently checked multiple cylinders with an inline spark tester and did find when cranking I had no spark. I have good voltage on battery and also installed a new crank sensor and replaced the engine ground wire to frame. The car shows no codes and I am unsure where to check next. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Ah, the elusive crank-no-start issue in cold weather—a mystery worthy of its own detective series. You've already done some solid sleuthing by checking the fuel pump, throttle body, and spark plugs. Since you've found no spark during cranking, the issue might be with the ignition system. Cold weather can affect electrical components, so consider checking the ignition coil and the wiring harness for any signs of damage or corrosion. The immobilizer system could also be acting up, thinking you're trying to pull a fast one. Sometimes, a faulty engine control module (ECM) can be the culprit, especially if it's not throwing any codes. It's like trying to solve a puzzle with a missing piece.
