What is your question?
2006 Toyota Camry with 282k mileage - would not start last night after driving it home from work. Ignition made no noise and was not trying to turn over. The interior and exterior lights as well as radio worked fine. Tried jumping it still would not start. The steering wheel has been making a shhrrrr sound when turning for the past week. When I checked the oil last week it was bone dry. Today after a rainstorm, it started up just fine. My husband thinks it may be the starter or ignition switch but I don’t want to put a lot of money into this car. Any ideas?

First, ensure your engine has the proper amount of oil in it before attempting to run it. With the exceptional amount of miles on this vehicle, there is no easy answer. You could have a battery concern, ignition concern, anti-theft concern, starter motor concern, cabling or wiring concern -- it's just simply wide open with possibilities that require hands on assessment. https://repairpal.com/repair-shops/toyota-repair-and-service-in-baton-rouge-louisiana
