low brake pedal

My Camry has adjustable petals. open the drivers door look next to the hood release and see if there is a switch with a up and down arrow, and next to it it will say petals . My petal sinks once in a while because the petals are run by cables and wheels. move them back and forth to take up the slack in the petal cables.

If the brakes are not working as easily as before, you may have an issue with the power brake booster, or if the pedal is sinking to the floor, it may be a master cylinder. Either way, it sounds potentially dangerous and needs to be checked out by someone who can diagnose this for you.

Possible brake booster failure. Also possible that the slider pins on the front brake calipers have become frozen in place. That usually results in a squishy feel and poor braking. If you have used the brakes severely the pads may have become glazed and lost friction coeffecient. If so, you will need to replace them and have the rotors resurfaced if the toyota spec allows it. (There is a minimum thickness)
