What is your question?
I have always owned toyotas and have been fortunate to have never had a major promblem or repair with any of them. I have been looking at the different things that can malfunction and the repair cost are astronomical. My question....Does anyone have an extended warranty and can you advise me reguarding purchasing one? Some of the advertisements I see appear to be "to good to be true"

My brother in law just bought a SUV that if the head gaskets or timing chain needs to be replaced the best way to carry out the repair is to take the body off the chassis. It was pre owned, and pretty new but when the dealership offered an extended warentee I told him to take it. Many warentee companies don't cover some major items but cover stupid things. A friend had a Mazda, he was told the Fuel Injection Computer was bad the warentee would cover a cruise control computer but not the one thing that would stop a car from running. End of the day you have got to get a repair shop you trust to read the small print and see if it is worth wile or not. Also most warentees don't cover diagnostic fees. It can take 2 hours to diagnose a problem and ten minutes to fit a sensor, they pay ten minutes.
