My answers were - (1) "if there is a blue tint to the smoke, it could be bad valve seats which are common in these cars",(2) "if only in the start up, just check oil levels regularly and agrees with my mechanic that there is nothing to worry about",(3) "it is just condensation build up (white smoke) in exhaust system".
My car still emits white smoke on first start up (but not as much lately) and my mechanic along with another local mechanic both say the same thing. Not to worry. So I don't, and my camry has 120,000 miles on it and runs great.
