Washed the engine & it starts but no electrical and it won't go into gear.

Oh no! Engine has many electrical connections and sensors. You have to be very careful with the pressure when you wash it. Water gets under the hood normally during rainy days, but I'm worried about the pressure of the water you used. I'd get it checked out and see if there are any loose connections or sensors that's preventing you from getting into gear.
