Joe....Thank you for your services.....Cleaning the o2 sensor isn't a solution. Just replacing it also isn't always the solution. o2 sensors rarely fail....there's always the possibility its something else causing the sensor to look bad. It can be simply a exhaust leak, vacuum leak, misfire that isn't noticable.....I currently have these 4 codes throwing my on check engine light on my 2000 Camry 3.0L. P1130 Air-Fuel Sensor Circuit Range/Performance. Bank 1 Sensor 1 P1135 Air-Fuel Sensor Heater Circuit Response. Bank 1 Sensor 1 P1150 A/F Sensor Circuit Range/Performance. Bank 1 Sensor 2 P1155 A/F Sensor Heater Circuit. Bank 1 Sensor 2 I just aquired the car from my father. The catalytic converter was leaking at the flex pipe portion of the cat which I had just replaced. I cleared the codes and after a 15 minute drive the same 4 codes came back up. Currently I am NOT replacing the o2 sensors because I had always noticed that at start up the car idles at aprox 2000+ rpms and once it reaches operating temperture it idles down to aprox 1200-1300 rpms which is still too high. There can be a number of reasons why this happening such as a vacuum leak, IAC (idle air control valve), clogged or leaking fuel injector, Mass airflow sensor etc. I will always advise that a proper diagnostic is done before replacing parts. If it is confirmed a bad sensor then it is something you can do if your able to get under the car. You can get the socket that is designed for o2 removal for about $7 at harbor freight The sensor price varies if its the downstream after the cat approx $103 at advanced auto use code TRT30 when ordering online 30% off if its the upstream $168 be sure to order the correct sensor. There's one for Federal and another for California emissions vehicles. They are not interchangable. Hope this helps I had just over 25 years experience as a tech with dealerships only chevy/dodge/acura/chrysler/suzuki. I too am disabled and it may take me longer to do the work but its worth it. A garage or dealer would probably charge an hour labor to R&R (remove and replace) 1 sensor and at $120+ hr labor rate it's worth taking the extra pain meds :)
