My radiator blew and my 1999 Toyota Camry V4 .I replace the radiator, the cooling fans, the thermostat and the radiator sensor but my car still overheats . I took out the thermostat and it know it doesn't overheat. It gets to the normal rumnind temperature. What else can my problem be? The water pump? There's no water leaks or anything but i do have a leaky oil pump gasket that might be covering up the weep holes in the water pump
What makes this problem better or worse?
When i took out the new thermostat
How long has your 1999 Toyota Camry had this problem?
A few weeks

purge/bleed the air out of the cooling system. I replaced mine a few months ago,98 Camry same engine 2.2L.
I've had my thermostat out for about2 weeks know. U don't think the cooling system already purged itself?
My in law says that i have the wrong thermostat cus there's on for cold weather n hot weather. But it should make a difference if i live n Florida. It seems to me something else is not working correctly?
OEM Thermostat is 180 degrees and that is what I used on mine and temp gauge stays dead in the middle like it should,it also has the jiggle pin. ALTERNATE Temperature thermostat is 170 degrees, and no,one is not for cold or hot weather, you don't flip back and forth from summer to winter,no matter if you're in Florida or Alaska. good luck with it.
