What is your question?
Had egr valve and lift sensor replareplaced car ran beautifuly, 15 miles later cel on, but still smooth ride, next day on drive to work notice car driving a bit rough then once parked at work cel began flashing and idle got realy rough. Brought it back in guy says cylinders are misfiring i need to replace o2 sensor, but also the o2 sensor that was in my car had been weilded into maniflold so he would have to rethread it cuz the weild was likely due to stripped thread. Swears car wasnt misfiring when he did the work the day before, but because ive been a repeat customer and he understands me being a single dad of a 3 yr old lil girl and only able to work limited hrs im struggling financial he will replace o2 sensor and rethread manifold at cost of parts. He does the work fr $169, but once i drove away i noticed my exhaust was much louder and car would accelerate, but semmed like it was working overly hard to do so. Could he have done something wrong? Is there something hes not telling me? Ive put $2200 into this car now and it was bought for $2500 (no t by me nor was i present)under the assumption it only needed new tires to pass inspection. Ended up with a laundry list of repairs it needed, but i could only affor d to get it in inspection order at that time, it was begining of Jan. So i paid $1120 to replace 4 tires, alternator, battery, and battery terminals. When i just had it looked at i wanted to see if it was worth putting some more money into it if a reasonable amount would get it in good enough condition where it would last me a bit if i kept up with maintnence and took good care. I was told it only needed the repairs i was previously told about so thats when i went ahead and had him do the frnt brakes, left caliper, both rotars, both pads and the above work, egr and then following day o2 sensor. Im expecting a good quiet car. However as i was shooting theshit with him he slipped in something about a minor exhaust leak, but it was no biggie. That had never been mentioned any of the 3 times my cars been in his shop and wondering if this has something to do with my noise, but cant understand his reasoning for not just saying this or thats wrong. Is it cuz he damaged something? Or do i have a serious problem and he didnt tell me so id still do the other repairs there? Hes not the owner tho, just works at the Sunoco station. Hope someone can help me with some advice on my next step and maybe some knowledge to arm myself with when i return monday so i can get a fair service as i feel ive been a good customer and spent a good amount of money. The tires they sold me back in January i was overcharged on, but i chalked that up to them not being a tire place realy, but i did pay $99.99 each for 4 Hankook 4H24 tires size 205/65/15 i may be a lil off on name and size, but saw the same tires elsewhere. Guess that should have been my sign!
