Really need to have the engine data scanned, ( not a code read ) to see why the engine is dying. Other wise you are guessing.

Throttle body needs to be cleaned.Engine computer had made small adjustments for the dirty throttle system. when you unhooked the battery your computer lost its memory. check out repairpal.com
