I tried to start my car but it wont start. It cranks over but it wont start?

Could it be the fuel pump or a dirty distributor cap? I checked the ignition fuses under the bonnet and in the car and they seem ok. Or could it be a spark plug issue l don't know...what do you think? The car was working well yesterday l washed the car and drove it home and this morning when l went to start it, the car wouldn't start. I just got a major oil leak fixed new water pump, timing belt as l just bought the car and didn't see the oil leak l found out at my parents place when my father noticed it.
