need to replace bulb infront left headlamp but cant get lens off

Are you sure the bulb isn't located in the back of the headlight assembly? Once its located a 1/4 turn to the left and the bulb will pop out and then you can change it , Look at the base of it https://partimages.genpt.com/largeimages/1017965.jpg it plugs into the back

Roy is right bulbs are replaced from the engine compartment side of the headlight! Look on Youtube it will be the same procedure for a Camry or Corolla.
