bluish smoke from tailpipe

Ensure the engine oil is not over filled, but it sounds like the blueish colored smoke emitted from the tail pipe on cold start up is probably going to be related to valve guide seal or valve guide wear. Keep an eye on the oil level. Keep your oil changed every 3000 miles and you will probably get many many miles form your engine yet. Ask your mechanic if there is any deposits on the spark plugs next time they are changed. Blue smoke as you accelerate on the freeway is more a sign of worn rings, cylinder bore wear or piston damage. If your car idles for a while (say at a traffic light) for a while intake manifold vacuum is high and the vehicle may emit blue smoke from the exhaust if the valve guides are worn.

OLI LEAKING BY THE VALVE GUIDES IS USUALLY THE PROBLEM. I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM UPON START UP IF THE CAR SITS FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME OVER 4HOURS. I NOW HAVE 215500 MILES AND IT RUNS GREAT. JUST KEEP THE OIL CHANGED ON A REGULAR BASIS AND YOU SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEMS.
