On a scale of 1-10 how difficult is it to install this valve on this vehicle?

I think I answered a question for you before I think you are car savy it is not a very simple repair but here are the instructions: I have had great success cleaning the idle air control valve. Many people replace the valve, I remove the air induction duct between the air filter housing and the intake manifold. I disconnect the electrical connector to the IAC valve, remove the two philips head scews that secure the black plastic part of the IAC valve. A small diameter shaft is exposed, turn that shaft gently for and aft, if it feels like it sticks spray "Chemtool" or an equivalent product into the hole in the throttle housing in front of the throttle butterfly while turning the shaft for and aft. You will feel it free up, reassemble, clean the throttle butterfly area of the throttle housing and your problems may be rectified. This works more than 90% of the time for me. Be judicious with your use of the Chemtool chemical it is flammable and you do not want to use to much of it near the throttle position switch as it may damage the TPS switch internally.
Autotechpat Thank you. I had stalling issues at idle on my 2000 Avalon and did what you said. Although the phillips screws were stuck and I had a hard time because of the limited space to work. I moved the butterfly to and fro while spraying the cleaner. So far so good. THANK YOU!!!
You sir, just saved me $200. Thanks for the tip!!! Removing the motor and turning it back and forth by hand freed it up.
