Unfortunately, it is in the gas tank and that means you have to drop the tank and disconnect the lines from under the car and then you have to take the back seat out and disconnect the wires to the sending unit and the gas pump. A lot of times, the gas pump just freezes up but that truly is an indication that it is worn in the pump cylinder. I don't know of a way to keep it lubricated and keep it moving. It will probably work when you take it out but for how long is the question. NOTE: When taking out the tank, be careful to do it as gently as possible because if the tank gets forced around too much, it will begin to leak at the seam and another tank just doesn't seem worth it sometimes.
