My hvac controller is non responsive (3 zone avalon limited).

Intermittent problem, but at startup the HVAC controls are unresponsive: the temp controls can be adjusted, the screen works, but no air from the vents. If we randomly push buttons, the unit will eventually come on. Once on, it remains functional while the car is on (doesn’t stop functioning). Any thoughts?
