My labor guide says it is a 17.5 hour job labor wise and the transmission could cost up to from $1600 to $3000 depending on where it sourced and what warranty comes with the work.

Thanks for the info. That matches with what I'm seeing. I've been quoted $3,500 to replace with a factory remanufactured transmission (lifetime parts & labor warranty).
