It could just be low on refrigerant. That's the problem most of the time. There is a sensor that will know when it's low and not allow the compressor to turn on. Best bet is to check pressures but if you don't work on AC systems then here is a link to find a good shop near you. https://repairpal.com/repair-shops Alex
